Living Life

May 2, 2018

I have been off Patriot Express the past 2 years as my mother has Alzheimer’s and is staying with me.  It was my decision to spend the time with her while she still had the wherewithal to understand and enjoy the moments shared with family and friends.

We have been working to understand the issues associated with the disease which has been passed down to the women on her side for the last 3 generations. She always was concerned that the girls would end up with the Alzheimer defect and wished they would come up with a cure so no one else would have to struggle as she and many others do.

Ma is doing well considering what we will experience in the near future as the disease continues to erode the quality of life she once knew.  Her humor is still intact even though she can not remember what she said or what happened seconds ago.

Each day we try to log something on video to document the good with the not so good.  For an 80 something year old she doesn’t complain about much.

Now I am going to attempt to bring back the Patriot Express Radio network which was put together to bring truth to the issues we deem important. I look forward to the next adventure with great anticipation.

The President Who Could

May 1, 2018

For the past year we have heard how an outsider didn’t have a chance running the United States of America if elected President.  All commentaries from the big media outlets have blasted President Trump as inexperienced, racist, denigrating among a host of other slanted opinions.

Now we hear today Kim Jong In met with the leader of South Korea and announce they will end the war between the North and South. The President who could get this war to end happens to be an outsider with no political office ever held till the POTUS.

This has both parties shaking in their boots, If the president succeeds in all he promised on the campaign trail voters will no longer trust/need career politicians lying to it’s citizens each election cycle about what they will do for the country once elected..

For 50 years we have heard the same political speeches, then once elected the infamous, we can’t accomplish that goal, there is not enough support in the chamber.

Now we will wait and see just where President Trump will stand in history 20 years from now.

Truth is Relevant

February 25, 2011

Today while discussing the issues of our Country with my exterminator we talked about what is happening in Wisconsin.  I brought up how unions worked for the people in the beginning when the greed and corruption of the business owner was more important than the worker’s health and safety.

The debate went on as we skimmed a broad range of subjects concerning the money and power the unions, politicians and churches wield. Today instead of working for the people these entities just described are more concerned with how much money and power they gain through those they are supposedly helping.

The unions are not there for the people any longer, they are there for the political clout to fund campaigns to elect those who will work towards the goals of the union not necessarily of the members.  The politicians will work to pass legislation for those who give them money to win their next campaign, not necessarily those they are elected to represent.  The churches are collecting donations to build million dollar churches, funding projects they feel are needed, not necessarily what their congregation may believe needs to be addressed.

My exterminator stated he goes to church and what upsets him more than anything is the church will not talk about the truth in fear of losing their funding.  He went on to say when the preacher preaches the sermon is generic in scope.  He wants to hear the truth of what is happening in our cities, in our states, and in our country.  He wants to know the preacher is in tune with issues that are relevant to each citizen as we grow and prosper as we deem fit.

The truth is relevant regardless of who you are, what you do or where you live.  What is happening across the country will affect each of us at some point in time.  We have asked everyone in this nation who is listening to be vigilant and be in the know on issues that should concern you.  Knowledge is power and can not be taken from you once you have it so learn about the issues that work for our country.  Learn about the issues that erode the quality of life here in America and abroad.  Your voice is your power, use it to express your thoughts and concerns to all who will listen.
