Iowa and our future

January 11, 2016

Sorry to say I haven’t been here blogging lately as there have been medical issues with my family. Working all issues out and will be back posting information about the Iowa caucus and the others in the pipe.

As we stated on Patriot Express Radio more than 6 years ago these next few elections are critical. The results will bring our nation back to logical and responsible leadership agenda turning back the PC police.

Or, we will continue down the path that we have traveled over the past 80 years and continue to erode the quality of life in America for every citizen with the egregious spending habits of those elected to represent our best interest.

With 19 trillion dollars in Federal debt plus over 122 trillion in unfunded mandates we definitely need new ideas and leadership roaming the Halls of Congress as well as 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Our nation will be destroyed in the next few decades if we do not curtail our out of control spending, our entitlement mentality and our nations dumbing down of it’s citizens all in the name of power.

Be vigilant how you vote. Know your candidates and ask the important questions which are relevant to you. We need help.

Many Citizens Are Finally Giving Up

January 13, 2014

This Republic, The United States of America is one of the greatest, longest Constitutionally run government the world has ever witnessed and now many citizens are finally giving up on it.  With so many years of our elected officials continually working to destroy our way of life instead of enhancing it, working harder to get re-elected at the hands of lobbyists and special interest groups along with their own personal agenda the great individuals across the lane have finally said enough already.

The Tea Party Movement started just before the 2010 elections to shoot out we are “taxed enough already” and most of congress turned a deaf ear only to find this organization would be the downfall of many a politicians careers.  The common everyday citizen doesn’t care about the Republican agenda, or the Democratic  agenda any longer, they care about the American agenda once again.

Citizens all across the nation are taking heed to all that has been said concerning the direction our nation has traveled over the past 50 years and they are frightened. The fear the 17 trillion dollar national debt, they fear the blatant disregard our politicians have for our Constitution and all the liberties it provides us. The Patriots of this nation are ready to stand together once again as they had to do so many years ago fighting against a government that had an agenda contrary to their wants and beliefs.

As I traveled across the country talking to individuals during the 2010 campaign I realized just how upset the common folks were. Their stories were haunting. Losing their jobs, their houses and even some lost their families do to the economic hardship our government created for many of them.

The citizens are ready to make a statement for all to hear. They are crying out loud through the hillsides and the meadows, along the mountain tops and across the rivers hoping their voices will finally be heard by candidates who are once again running for America and it’s values instead of the good ole boys buddy system many have become extremely accustomed too.  Many have stated they want a candidate who will listen to the issues that are important to them not dictate what they feel strongly about.

The time is now as good people all over the nation gather to discuss running for office to remove those entrenched in the political arena secluded from reality for far too long.  We have a re-birth of individuals fed up with politics as usual, a resurgence of a love for country that trumps those with a love for the power associated with our Congress.  This next election will be one that will be remembered for a long long time.  We will see a swing in voters placing their ballots for an individual and not a political party, and that will be good.

Maybe, just maybe then we will stop spending trillions of dollars a year that we don’t have to spend just to shore up some free program to continue to get votes. Maybe, just maybe then  we will see our congress working to achieve greatness once again by holding themselves accountable to do what is right for America and not special interest.  We still are a long way from election night but there will be changes that we, patriots of this great nation, that we can believe in finally.

Presidential Debate Live from Las Vegas

October 19, 2011

Tonight we were witness to another Republican Presidential debate live from the Venetian in Las Vegas Nevada. The candidates took center stage as Anderson Cooper moderated the proceedings. On stage we saw Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain,Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Rich Santorum, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry. Missing from the debate was Jon Huntsman and Gary Johnson, both were given the opportunity to appear with the rest of the field but opted not to show.

The debate was fisty and furious as candidates sparred about illegal immigration, defense spending, the budget, the border fence and jobs or lack there of.  Mr. Perry and Mr. Romney, Mr. Santorum vs Mr. Paul and Mr. Romney, Mr. Perry, Mr. Paul, Ms. Bachmann and Mr. Santorum against Mr. Cain. During this debate there appeared to be more personal attacks on the candidate on their records which did not sit well with the audience.

When asked about the nuclear waste issue Ron Paul got an arousing ovation when he stated why should 49 states tell one state who will take nuclear waste. “It is not right” he went on. Get politicians out of this and allow states to decide. the government shouldn’t be in the business of subsidizing industries and it is time they get out. The states need to compete for business and markets not the Federal Government. Many of the other candidates had to agree with him as that appeared to be the correct answer.

Anderson asked Perry if the 9-9-9 would cost taxpayers more and he went after Herman pretty strongly. Mr. Cains 9-9-9 program is not a value added tax though Rick Perry believes it is and attacked Herman as Rick stated ” I’ll bump plans with you Brother”  New Hampshire and Nevada are hurting and with a new tax of 9% increases on homes, on Social Security and more, Perry stated “I don’t think so Herman, it’s not gonna fly!”

Mr. Cain responded by explaining how the plan will not increase taxes and he used the example of a loaf of bread having 5 separate taxes on it now and the 9% will take out those 5 taxes and will be replaced by the new 9% tax. As he responded Anderson told him his time was up and stated he would have another 30 seconds to which Herman asked “Tonight” which got a laugh from Bachmann and the audience.

Ron Paul stated it was a regressive tax and would increase taxes on everyone. Mr. Paul focused on the audience members original question asking what would you replace the income tax with and his response was ” I say Nothing”. He continued informing the audience members spending is a tax and he has a program that would cut one trillion dollars out of the budget the first year he is in office.

Herman Cain got his additional 30 seconds at this point only minutes later with this statement ” Once again unfortunately none of my distinguished colleagues who have attacked me up here tonight understand the plan.” His plan replaces the hidden taxes on products with the 9% tax he has proposed. The tax will be a federal level tax not the state tax, apples and oranges.

Later on in the debate Anderson asked Cain who should be the nominee Rick Perry or Mitt Romney to which he replied “I should be the Nominee.” He explained why in several short statements.

Newt Gingrich once again demonstrated his depth of knowledge dealing with the issues that concerned the audience. His responses we clear, concise and on point without swaying from the topic until after the statements were completed. “Maximizing bicker is probably not the road to the White House.” He would challenge President Obama to 3 hour debates with only a time clock to debate the issues.

Michele Bachmann chimed in occasionally as the gentlemen commanded the most time throughout the debate. She mentioned the President is the one who has a problem with immigration as his Aunt and Uncle are here illegally and he ignores it. She wants to build a double walled fence with security all across the border. 113 billion dollars to pay for all illegal immigrants and we need to stop that. Build the fence, enforce English as the official language and work for the people to stop spending money that we don’t have.

Anchor babies are a problem as Michele told how illegals come into this country just to have their children because of the 14th amendment. We have to address this issue and solve the problem of illegals using the amendment to have access to those magnets available to them.

Mitt stated ” Everyone loves legal immigrants”. According to Mitt there are 4.5 million foreigners who want to come into this country legally but cannot because of our immigration problem.  Mr. Romney’s messages was to turn off the magnets that entice them into this country illegally. With the free housing, the employers who are willing to hire illegals to which Rick Perry jumped at the chance to attack once more.   He accused Romney of hiring illegals for two years while knowing they were illegal. The audience on several occasions booed Perry as he continued to press the issues signifying they have had enough of the bickering and wanted to hear solutions especially when he stated “You failed as Governor.”  Perry didn’t help his campaign tonight with his combatant attitude.

Herman Cain received a huge round of applause when he restated his stance with his statement concerning the protesters on Wall Street a few weeks ago.  Anderson ask if he stood by his remarks “If you don’t have a job and you are not rich, blame yourself.” Herman explained the problem wasn’t Wall Street it was the government who gave them the money when they shouldn’t have. Ron Paul agreed stating those involve with the crash never went to jail after all the committee hearings to seek answers to why the problems happened.

If you watch the debate you will find the audience was there with hopes the candidates would offer solutions to the problems persistent in this country. The received some of what they wanted however the constant bickering had many individuals rolling their eyes in disbelief on what they were hearing. If the candidates want to be the Republican nominee they are going to have to present solutions and not personal attacks on those on stage with them.

GOP Battle in Ames, Iowa

August 12, 2011

Tonight the Republican candidates battle on stage as they attempt to persuade citizens to support their campaign for President of the United States as they offer their vision of what America should be to them.

All night long both Bachmann and Pawlenty sparred with each other battling fiercely, debating their records both as Representative and Governor.  Every question directed to either or the two ended with harsh word directed at the opponent.  Michele stood strong stating her convictions drive her when dealing with Health Care, or Cap and Trade.

Newt Gingrich showed ire when discussing the super committee and just how stupid that committee is.  He has knowledge of how these committees work and suggested if anyone thinks “535 individuals are going to sit around and wait for 12 brilliant minds” to come up with brilliant solutions, it is not going to happen.  People are put on these committees for political reasons so they will not be seeking real solutions.  Raise taxes or cut defense, those will be the choices.

Obama Care was a hot topic and every member on stage wants this plan to disappear.  The plan is unconstitutional, too costly and will create a backlog of patients with each year that goes by.  Medical care should be handled between a doctor and a patient not a panel of government workers suggesting what medical issues will be addressed with treatments or not.

Immigration law brought out many ideas from all the candidates concerning what the future President of the United States must do to get the problem under control.  All the candidates acknowledged the borders must be secured before we can address the problem of those already in this country.    We need to stop the steady flow of illegals crossing the borders and then work on finding the solution to removing those who are here illegally.

After an hour the military was brought up concerning the recent deaths in Afghanistan by Brett Baier.  We lost 41 Patriots this past week and honor their serve to this great nation.  Without these Patriots defending our nation and preserving our freedom this nation would not have lasted so long.  With the wars going on in so many areas the candidates stated the countries must take ownership of these wars and put their countries on the path of democracy or we need to leave. Congressmen Paul “We should bring our troops home!”

Many great suggestions or solutions were offered to bring this nation back to the greatness it is deserving of.  When the debate is available we will post it on Patriot Express Radio website at http://www.patriotexpressradio.com for your listening pleasure.

Anyone Is Better Than What We Have Now!

April 12, 2011

Yes folks, “Anyone is better than what we have now”  is the response I am receiving from individuals all across this great land we call America. With the 2012 election cycle moving into gear many individuals are dissatisfied with the President and his policies.

Since Obama has been elected our country has spiraled out of control with expansive increases in government spending, the apology tour and the continuation of wars in the Middle East of which he campaign to stop the wars over there not extenuate them with complacency.

Remember he received a Noble Peace Prize for his prolific thoughts on a war free world or just the fact that those on the panel that hands out these prizes hated Bush so much they just wanted to show him a thing or two about just how powerful they were. Thus a million dollar bounty just for thinking about peace.

Now two years later we have amassed 5 trillion more dollars in debt with a 4 trillion-dollar budget being proposed by the White House.  I don’t want to beat this thing to death but I have to say we borrow 43 cents out of every dollar we spend so the individuals across the country want someone new that will reduce the spending and size of the bureaucracy.

Power Starts With You!

March 8, 2011

As we travel across the country discussing the issues that affect all citizens we run across one common statement from most individuals. Most citizens believe the government has too much power and they would be correct. The government has too much power because we allowed the power to move away from the States and the citizens as the years rolled by.

So today we have campaigns gearing up for elections across the nation once again. Whether for local, state, or federal everyone will be telling the American people what they believe needs to be done in order to win their campaigns. We will once again hear candidates on stump tours touting how they hear your voices and will be their to serve you. They will talk about the issues, some will have solutions while others will just blast their challengers.

But one thing is clear the American people need to understand in today’s environment, the power starts with you!  That is right, the power starts with you when you go to the meetings, the rallies and the town halls to listen to those you will choose to elect. If they have the message which reflex your values and principles they have a chance to be your voice. If not, they need to find a new vocation.

The time is here as we travel a new path toward history in these United States of America for all citizens to use their power to elect representatives that will work for you, that will work for what you believe in, that will take your power to the office they win and vote for your voice.  Don’t let politics as usual  continue to erode the quality of life here in America as it has for the past 100 years.

Speak up as you listen to candidates and ask them the hard questions that you want to know.  Speak out and have your voice heard by using your power to be heard by those who want your vote.  Remember the Power Starts With You and the other way around.

The New Mayor of Chicago Is!

February 22, 2011

Today voters in Chicago will be voting in the primaries for a new face at City Hall for the first time since 1989. Many of you out there know about the crime and corruption that eminent from Cook County and plenty of you may still live amongst those crooked individuals still in and around ChiTown.

Many questions concerning voters have been expressed to each of the candidates running for Mayor.  First on the list, can the newly elected mayor reign in the corruption that has dominated the political system for generation after generation.  During the campaign there were allegations of fraudulent signatures on petitions that must be addressed.   There are allegations of bribes and payoffs to candidates or allies who would benefit from contracts or negotiations due to the Mayors influence have to be tackled. Rahm Emanuel stated he will work to end the corruption that has been a staple for those surrounding the political system in the Windy City.

Students also have been vocal with their concerns.  They fear being  jumped by gang members both in and out of school.  They fear bullying while on school grounds along with being harassed by police. The students peppered four of the candidates with concerns that can not be ignored any longer.  These students are the new voices of America and no longer hide what is on their minds.

So, who will be the next Mayor of Chicago?  Out of the six candidates running, four have a chance to win. With Rahm  leading most polls at least 10 analysts giving him the win. The other candidates have not given up yet, the majority believe in the process and will not count themselves out until the final vote is counted.  No one knows what the voter will do once in the voting booth so every candidate has a chance to become the next mayor of Chicago.

History will be made regardless of who wins the primary.   And the New Mayor of Chicago Is….  Rahm Emanuel winning with over 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff. Congratulations and good luck.
