We shouldn’t have to second guess our President

February 21, 2013

In today’s economy with families struggling to pay their mortgages, send children to college and put food on the table we shouldn’t have to second guess our President.  When he goes out to  campaigns our thoughts should be focused on the content and not the truth.

However, with this president  at every turn  we hear so much divisive language and are giving bad information from the administration up to and including his words we have to ask ourselves what is the truth. We are being bullied into believing if Congress doesn’t pass one bill or another the nation will disintegrate and go down in flames. People won’t get social security checks, schools will closed as teachers are laid off and the list goes on and on.

Using fear to advance his cause of larger government, bigger spending packages and higher taxes on everyone has worked up to now. The majority of citizens of this nation have bought his rhetoric and continue to believe his false prophets.  When told we would fall off the fiscal cliff if we didn’t pass a stimulus package to bail out those companies “too big to fail” we bought into it. History will show it didn’t work and we did in fact head down that path of no return as he continued to give news organizations this “too big to fail” speech.

While critical of  these banks on Wall Street in public he was receiving millions from them in campaign contributions. One hand washed the other hand as he and his administration sent them billions of dollars to keep them open. With the taxpayers money there were accusations that certain banks used funds to lobby against bills that would hurt them along with giving out huge bonuses to top executives stating to keep the best produces you have to offer incentives through deception or illusion.

We heard throughout his administration on a daily basis though the president’s efforts  we ” have saved our created two million new jobs. ”  Then two hundred thousand, one million, four hundred thousand, within weeks we continually heard numbers that just didn’t add up. The fact is how do you save our create jobs when your administration was continually losing them, up to seven million at one point in time.

Now, today we face sequestration of 85 billion dollars to start March 1, 2013 if congress does not pass another bill showing where the cuts should be made.  Again, last year the president stated he would veto any attempt to block these cuts from taking place because our nation needs to get back on budget.  Today, once again  he is out there campaigning gloom and doom if these cuts take place while having members of emergency outlets as backdrops behind him.

These cuts that are slated to take place would stop our government from running for all of eight days if we had to shut down the nation’s capital because of these cuts. Of course we won’t shut down the government over 85 billion dollars but to listen to the president our military will be jeopardize, research will be devastated and vital services such as emergency responders will be degraded and the list goes on.

If our president were a leader his message would be to work together to find the cuts that are fraudulent and wasteful. He would be telling American’s we as a nation can not continue to spend 1.4 trillion dollars a year that we don’t take in. Revenues for our nation equal 2.3 trillion dollars currently and the budget has been over 3.5 trillion dollars. There is a spending problem in Washington even if they won’t admit it.

The Nanny State Continues

November 9, 2012

With the 2012 presidential elections finally over we find that the majority of those registered to vote and in fact did vote believe in this administrations policies.  As we watched the results both parties had highs and lows until the states turned blue sweeping across the nation showing us the nanny state continues as the president will push for higher taxes for the wealthy, more food stamps, more welfare and more of our freedoms being eradicated with each piece of legislation passed.

Boenher stated today he would not be a party to any legislation that raised taxes on the rich, the poor or those in the middle class With the strong stance we have to remember the Speaker of The House talks a the talk and doesn’t necessarily walk the walk.

In the past Boenher has caved in to give the Democrats what they insisted on even after going public stating he wouldn’t support the legislation. Here is the prime example when dealing with the debt crisis just a few short years ago he stood up in front of America vehemently proclaiming the debt ceiling will not be raised.

With all his strong talk America believed him and there was outrage among many across this nation.  Well, he voted to raise the debt ceiling not once  but three times under the current president and 7 times under our previous president. There have been many issues he took one stance and came to an agreement to change the stance without receiving what the majority attempted to achieved.

Without a budget being passed in the Senate for four years by Senate Leader Harry Reid, we can look for more of the same.  No budget, trillions in additional debt added to the nation and more fraud and waste unaccounted for.  This nation is in turmoil as our elected officials continue to spend more than we have and no one will take the needed steps to stop the insanity of continuing to spend more of what they do not have.

The saga will continue only this election the minority voter hopes and prays for Congress to get tough being accountable for their actions.  Time will tell as we patiently await the results of this election.  We won’t have to wait four years to see these results as they most likely will show almost immediately after we have the swearing in ceremony come January.  Working class individuals will continue to worry about being told what they can or can not do.  The nanny state will erode more and more of our liberties and freedoms as stipulated in our Constitution.

Nevada will be huge for the upcoming election

November 1, 2012
With 6 electoral college votes Nevada will be key in the results of the November 6th ballot picking the next President of these United States.  Who has the advantage, Mitt or Barack? With over 119 thousand more democratic registered voters in the state Barack has the advantage on paper.

Will that advantage result in a win for his campaign? Not likely as Nevadans remember how this President devastated our cities and our state when he went on air not once but twice to inform the nation they shouldn’t go “to Vegas” in these tough economic times spending “college” funds.

Our economy suffered worst then any state in the Union with high unemployment, high foreclosure rates and a drop in tourism due to the words spewed from the Presidents mouth.  Many of those who voted for him in 2008 have expressed sorrow as they realize the hype was better than the word.

With only 37% of the promises made on the campaign trail held to date, the road in Nevada will be a tough fight.  We remember how he stated just a few short years ago he would reduce the national debt by 50% because it was “unpatriotic” to increase the debt by 4 trillion as George Bush had done.  Well, with 6 trillion added to the debt since taking office Obama has failed on delivering that promise.

Candidate Obama also promised in his first year he would sign into law immigration reform because the cost was to exorbitant for any state to continue to fund. Well not only didn’t he pass any legislation but he never even offered any to the Congress which by the way was democratic for the first two years.

There are a host of other promises made and broken, too many to list here. So in these closing days as both candidates talk about how they would handle the office once elected the stories are vastly different. One candidate wants four more years to finish what he stated.  While the other wants four years to fix the mess that has oven taken our nation.

Come November 6th, 2012 be sure to exercise your God-given right and vote for the candidate of your choice.  We as a nation are guaranteed basic freedoms and rights under our Constitution that no other nation in the world has. Let’s not lose them.

Anxiously awaiting the results

October 27, 2012

Like a trip to the doctors, this election has everyone on pins and needles.  The blood has been drawn and the doctor informs us they will call as soon as the test come back from the lab possibly a week to ten days.

As we anxiously wait for the results we wonder if everything will be alright. We worry that something is wrong, a constant fear as we are not doctors but we know deep down inside there is terrible news to come.

That is November 6th, the day of reckoning, as we get the call on who will lead this, the greatest nation in the world for the next four years.   Will we have more of the same or will we have a new look toward the future? Right now no one can say specifically till the test results come in.

According to the current President he needs more time to implement his plan, those promises that he hasn’t lived up too.  He needs us to believe in the “Hope and Change” he promised while campaigning for his first term.  Immigration reform in the first year,  50% reduction in the deficit because it was “unpatriotic” to increase our national debt by 4 trillion dollars as George Bush did as or 43rd President.

On the other hand, Mitt Romney has traveled the country to inform the voters, “we don’t have to settle for years of disappointment and decline.”   The former Governor has been traveling across the nation with his VP pick Paul Ryan insisting the President hasn’t been paying attention to the will of the people.

Soon the doctor will call us with the results.  For some the findings will cause elation as nothing appears to be wrong.  For others there will be devastation as the paperwork causes the heart to drop to the floor knowing their time is limited.  No exercise routine can help them, no change in diet will relieve them, no words will be able to console them.

November 6th will be the day we remember as the day that changed our lives forever. So remember to have your voices heard and vote. Regardless of your party, political affiliation or ideology, vote as it is your God-given right and your patriotic duty in this, the greatest nation on Earth.

Where do we go now?

October 25, 2012

So much has happened in the past four years here in America and around the world. Where do we go now? With elections just two weeks away American’s have a huge choice to make when decided the path our nation will travel down the next four years.  Many individuals we talked to have given up hope and don’t want to vote in this election cycle.

Why do these individuals not want to vote. Some of them claim they voted for Obama and are disgusted in the way he has handled the economic crisis along with the foreign policies which make us look weak.

Others say they don’t like the Republican challenger because he has made so much money in the private sector he may not work for the middle class as he has stated on the campaign trail. They fear he will be for big business and Wall Street types neglecting the individuals who are really struggling in this economy.

Regardless of your position, party affiliation or thoughts and ideas of where this country needs to be there is one thing that is sure, if you don’t vote, your voice will not be heard and will be silenced.  Remember Florida was won by Bush by just under 600 votes and many have express concern because they failed to vote in the Sunshine state.

Have your voices heard and get out and vote. Find the candidates who best represent you and your views in the local elections, in the State elections and in the Federal elections.  There is too much at stake not to vote…

Are American taxpayers finally waking up?

June 6, 2012

Are American taxpayers finally waking up? After the ballots were counted in Wisconsin last night it appears as if they are sending a new message that has been the topic of debate now for over 25 years shared by Representative Ron Paul (R) Texas, Stop spending what you don’t have.

Wisconsin voters now appear to believe in that message as they came out to have their voices heard in only one of three recall elections every held for a governor of a state.  Only this time, for the first time in history the governor elect survived the ordeal.  Governor Scott Walker (R) made a promise to the voters and followed through with it once sworn in.

What he did was to take Ron Paul’s position by limiting  governments ability to take from taxpayers and give to government employees. What Governor Walker did needed to be addressed due to the ever-increasing deficit the state was amassing.

The 3.5 billion dollar deficit was a detriment for survival of the state. What Mr. Walker did was to reduce the unions ability to continue to take from taxpayers hard earn income to give to public servant union members in way of benefits and health care.

Governor Walker demanded the legislature of Wisconsin to pass laws that addressed the issue.  Democrats dissappeared across state lines so they would not have to vote with hopes of stalling the process so union leaders would continue to fund their re-election campaigns.

The challenge was difficult, but true to his word Governor Walker continued to push for the employees paid by the tax payers of Wisconsin paid more into their healthcare and retirement programs.  By increasing members shares to pay for these benefits the deficit has been removed and will have a surplus of a few hundred million dollars by the end of his term.

Those in Washington should take heed as voters are frustrated with their elected officials who somehow still believe they know better how to spend our money.  Both Democrat and Republican representatives have created a national debt hovering around 16 trillion dollars and continuing to spend as Senator McCain said “Like drunken sailors”.

CBO  just released a report stating we now have a debt that is 70% of GDP for the first time since WWII.  The tread in Washington must stop and a new vision for America must take root.  Are Ron Paul’s positions finally taking hold with the American taxpayer? Let’s hope so as his reasoning is simple, get government out of the lives of the American people as people know better how to spend their money.

Recall election, what does it mean?

June 6, 2012

Governor Scott Walker (R) Wisconsin has become the third sitting governor to be involved in this type of effort.  If he wins he will be the only individual to survive the effort of those who brought the signatures to the State Capital to start the process.

Just what does it mean for the state of Wisconsin and the Nation if in fact Scott Walker wins this recall election against Mayor Tom Barrett (D)?  This recall election will set a new stage for conservatives and fiscally responsible individuals who run for political offices in the future.

This recall election will bring change to this country that is sorely needed.  The handouts, entitlements, and public sector unions negotiating outrages benefit and retirement plans that any sound minded citizens realizes can not be sustained under any circumstance.

Those individuals working in the public sector were promised huge retirement benefits with little contributions from the recipients.  Many health plans had been funded by hard-working taxpayers and not the public sector union member.  The state of Wisconsin with Scott Walker at the helm said he would change the way contracts are established and individuals will be required to pay more of the price for all those benefits they receive.

The Governor should win with a huge margin as the opposition spent millions of dollars fighting his administration but are not citizens of the state so they will not have the impact they believe they need to oust the Republican Governor.
