We shouldn’t have to second guess our President

February 21, 2013

In today’s economy with families struggling to pay their mortgages, send children to college and put food on the table we shouldn’t have to second guess our President.  When he goes out to  campaigns our thoughts should be focused on the content and not the truth.

However, with this president  at every turn  we hear so much divisive language and are giving bad information from the administration up to and including his words we have to ask ourselves what is the truth. We are being bullied into believing if Congress doesn’t pass one bill or another the nation will disintegrate and go down in flames. People won’t get social security checks, schools will closed as teachers are laid off and the list goes on and on.

Using fear to advance his cause of larger government, bigger spending packages and higher taxes on everyone has worked up to now. The majority of citizens of this nation have bought his rhetoric and continue to believe his false prophets.  When told we would fall off the fiscal cliff if we didn’t pass a stimulus package to bail out those companies “too big to fail” we bought into it. History will show it didn’t work and we did in fact head down that path of no return as he continued to give news organizations this “too big to fail” speech.

While critical of  these banks on Wall Street in public he was receiving millions from them in campaign contributions. One hand washed the other hand as he and his administration sent them billions of dollars to keep them open. With the taxpayers money there were accusations that certain banks used funds to lobby against bills that would hurt them along with giving out huge bonuses to top executives stating to keep the best produces you have to offer incentives through deception or illusion.

We heard throughout his administration on a daily basis though the president’s efforts  we ” have saved our created two million new jobs. ”  Then two hundred thousand, one million, four hundred thousand, within weeks we continually heard numbers that just didn’t add up. The fact is how do you save our create jobs when your administration was continually losing them, up to seven million at one point in time.

Now, today we face sequestration of 85 billion dollars to start March 1, 2013 if congress does not pass another bill showing where the cuts should be made.  Again, last year the president stated he would veto any attempt to block these cuts from taking place because our nation needs to get back on budget.  Today, once again  he is out there campaigning gloom and doom if these cuts take place while having members of emergency outlets as backdrops behind him.

These cuts that are slated to take place would stop our government from running for all of eight days if we had to shut down the nation’s capital because of these cuts. Of course we won’t shut down the government over 85 billion dollars but to listen to the president our military will be jeopardize, research will be devastated and vital services such as emergency responders will be degraded and the list goes on.

If our president were a leader his message would be to work together to find the cuts that are fraudulent and wasteful. He would be telling American’s we as a nation can not continue to spend 1.4 trillion dollars a year that we don’t take in. Revenues for our nation equal 2.3 trillion dollars currently and the budget has been over 3.5 trillion dollars. There is a spending problem in Washington even if they won’t admit it.
